How many lessons will you need
how many driving lessons you need is always and interesting question but always an impossible one to answer the driving standards agency have research that suggests the number is on average 45 hours of professional instruction plus around 20 hours of private practice. In the years I have done the job I have seen people take as few as 15 hours instruction but also seen people who have taken 100+ hours of instruction. Everyone is different and you should really approach taking driving lessons with the possiblitlty that you could be looking at taking lessons for between 6 months and a year and be prepared possibly invest 50 or 60 lessons in learning to drive.
You shouldn't try to compare the number of lessons it takes 1 person to pass the driving test with the number of lessons it takes another person to pass. Everybody is different and different people will take a different number of lessons to pass the driving test. A persons age can have an affect on how many lessons it takes to learn to drive, generally the older a person gets the longer it can take. Some people have a natural aptitude for driving and some people don't, although with practice and quality training most people will gain the skills required to pass the driving test.
